Elson Beh, also known as Beh Hong Shien, completed his LL.B (Hons.) at Northumbria University, UK. He obtained the CLP from the Malaysian Legal Profession Qualifying Board on his first attempt and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in July 2010.

Elson has extensive experience in civil litigation, specializing in areas such as defamation, contract, arbitration, construction, shareholders disputes, and inheritance and estate disputes. He is also well-versed in corporate and conveyancing matters, advising and drafting various commercial agreements.

He served on the Penang Bar Committee in various roles, including Secretary (2016-2018), Co-Chairman of the Continuing Professional Development Sub-committee (2014-2016), Co-Chairman of the Family Law Subcommittee (2017-2018), Treasurer (2018-2019), and Co-Chairman of the Sports Committee (2018-2021).

Elson was an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of Caely Holdings Berhad, a Public Listed Company.
